Eligibility Nationality: For the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India Education The candidate must hold a degree of any University that is recognized by the state or central government. A degree received through Correspondence Education or Distance Education. A degree from an Open University. A qualification recognized by the Government of India as being equivalent to either of the above. However, questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level will be tested through passages from English Language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper. Each paper will be of two hours duration.
