The Guru Nanak Dev University was established at Amritsar on November 24,1969. It is both a residential and an affiliating university.

The B.Pharm course is of four years duration. Students completing this degree course are eligible to register as pharmacist and practise the profession throughout India.

B.Pharm.(Pharmacy) Stands for Bachelor of Pharmacy. The B.Pharm. course is a 4 year course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) with subjects such as biology, physics, chemistry.
