What is the procedure to know the SBI Education Loan Repayment? Please provide me the information about the SBI Education Loan Repayment?

Hello, I am sharing the important details regarding the repayment of education loan as per the guidelines issued by SBI:

Repayment
In case of SBI Student loans, repayment will start after the completion of course period and moratorium period (Repayment commences one year after the course completion or 6 months after securing a job, whichever is earlier).
In case of SBI Scholar loans, repayment will start after the completion of course period and moratorium period (6 months after course completion).

EMI Generation
The accrued interest during the moratorium period and course period is added to the principle and repayment is fixed in Equated Monthly Instalments (EMI).
If full interest is serviced before the commencement of repayment; EMI is fixed based on principle amount only.

Timely Payment of EMIs
Repaying EMIs on time will help in keeping your account in good condition and will save avoidable additional interest costs.

Prepayment:
There are no extra charges on the prepayment of loan.

You can also calculate your EMI online.
Steps to check EMI:
Go to the official website of SBI.
Click on the EMI calculator written on the right side of page.
You may see various head of loans.
Click on the loan, which you had taken and want to check the EMI.
You see the calculator, enter all your details of loan and you may know your EMI value.
