VEL'S Educational Trust was set up in 1992 with the point of changing a person into an entire man with character and capacity focused on national administration and advancement. The trust was established by Dr. Ishari K Ganesh, M.Com, MBA, B.L, Ph.D, a visionary and a prominent educationist, in affectionate memory of his dad Shri.Isari Velan, a previous pastor in the famous Govt. of Dr. MGR.

The VELS University or VELS Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies (VISTAS) is situated in Pallavaram, a suburb of Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, a southern condition of India.

The University is administered by Governing Board or also called Board of Management and this is the most elevated statutory body of this University. The individuals from this Board is drawn from different organizations.
