Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union under Ministry of Defence,

Candidates invited applications hold three years Technical Diploma for recruitment to the post of Yantrik.

Interested candidates can apply online till 14 February 2013.

Minimum Educational Qualification
You should have passed Matriculation and Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/ Aeronautical Engineering from any recognized university with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.

Coast Guard Yantriks are also famous as Naviks. Indian Coast Guard is the fourth branch of armed force. Coast Guard Yantriks (Technical Sailors) Exam will be completed in three stages:-
1st a written test which comprises a bilingual question paper in Hindi and English,

2nd Mental Ability Test and

3rd Physical Fitness test.

You must have cleared Matriculation or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Aeronautical Engineering accredited by Govt of India.

If you have scored less than 50% marks in the above examinations, need not to apply. Relaxation of 5% will be provided to SC/ST applicants.

Physical qualification:
Height: 157 CMS
Chest: Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion of5 crns.
Eye Sight: 6/12 (good eye) and 6/24 (bad eye).
Weight: Proportionate to height and age (+/- 10% acceptable.)
