I want to know the eligibility for Tuition Fee Waiver scheme (TFW) Scheme of All India Council For Technical Education AICTE?

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will be made mandatory in all the technical colleges.

This scheme is for economically backward students including women and also for handicapped students.

There are a maximum of 5 % seats supernumerary in nature under Tuition Fee Waiver(TFW) scheme.

Eligibility:

Sons & daughters of parents whose annual income is less than Rs. 2.50 Lakhs from all sources are only be eligible for seats under this scheme.

The waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by state level fee committee for self financing institutions.

All other fee except tuition fee will have to be paid by the beneficiary.

Procedure :

Under this scheme 5 % of the seats in each Branch of B Tech admissions shall be available for these admissions. The authority to effect these admissions is State Government/ Controller for Entrance Examinations based on their Entrance Rank.

Under this scheme the beneficiary student shall not be allowed to change the institution/course in any circumstances.
