Savitribai Phule Pune University conducts Ph. D. Entrance Examination for admission in PhD course in the University and their affiliated Colleges.

PhD Exam eligibility-

Post Graduate Degree (Master Degree) Examination with at least 50% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA)
Persons having passed Post Graduate Degree (Master Degree) Examination in the Faculty of Law with at least 55% marks.

5 % relaxation in the required percentage of marks will be given to the students of State of Maharashtra belonging to SC/ST/DTNT/SBC/OBC categories.

Exam pattern-

Ph.D. Entrance Examination consists of two papers.

1) Paper-I: General Aptitude Test.

Paper-I consists of 3 Parts
a) Logical Reasoning.
b) Numerical Ability.
c) Reasoning and Language Aptitude.
Total Marks : 100
Total Questions : 100
All questions with multiple choices, each correct answer carries I Mark. No negative
marking system.

Duration & Timing of Entrance Exam: 2 Hours

Standard of passing for Paper - I:

Category Minimum marks required

a) General : 50% marks
b) Reserved : 45% marks
