-Two students of IIT-Madras have been offered $2,10,000 (over Rs. 1 crore) per annum by an American multinational company in this year’s placements
-However, this is a significant increase in remuneration offered – last year, the highest job offer was for $1,50,000 per annum.
-As many as 1,366 students registered for placements this year, compared to 1,282 last year
-Companies that recruited at the campus on the first two days include Samsung Electronics, M/S Epic, Microsoft India, Oracle, Google, Capital One Services, LinkedIn and eBay, among others.
-Over 150 job offers have been made over the course of two days.
- 270 companies are scheduled to visit IIT-M this season.
