Eligibility For Phd In Osmania University

Hello sir, after my MBA I’m looking for to do PHD from Osmania University. I want to know that what eligibility is needed for PHD in Osmania University.

Degree of Doctor of Philosophy is offered by Osmania University in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Management, Education, Law, Social Sciences, Oriental Languages, Science, Technology, Pharmacy, Engineering, and Informatics.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate is eligible for registration/admission into PhD course in a subject, if he/she has obtained a Post-Graduate Degree, from a recognized University or a Post Graduate Degree through Distance mode from a recognized University and approved by the Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi.

Candidates must securing not less than 55% marks at the Post-Graduate Degree and securing not less than 50% marks in the case of SC/ST candidates.

Minimum qualification marks:

The minimum qualifying marks for Ph.D. Eligibility test is
50 percent in case of Open category candidates
45 percent in case of B.C. candidates
40 percent in case of SC/ST candidates
Students belonging to Physically handicapped category will be allowed a relaxation of 5 percent marks in each category.
