The All India Bar Examination is mandatory for all law students graduating from the academic year 2015-2016 onwards. One may apply to appear for the All India Bar Examination only after enrolling as an advocate under Section 24 of the Advocates Act, 1961 and will have to submit suitable proof of such enrolment along with the application form for the All India Bar Examination. All India Bar Exam 2016 Dates (Tentative) Online Registration begins from September 2016 Offline Registration form sales begin from September 2016 Bank Payments through challan starts from September 2016 Online Registration and offline form sales closes February 2017 Last Date for Payment of challan for Online and Offline Application February 2017 Last date for completion of online form February 2017 Last date for receiving Offline Application forms at BCI-Delhi February 2017 Online release of Admit Cards for Online and Offline application February 2017 Date of Examination March 2017 AIBE Paper Pattern 2017 One will be answering questions from 20 subjects. The subjects are taken from the syllabi prescribed by the Bar Council of India for the three-year and five-year L.L.B. programmes at law schools in India. The subjects are divided into two categories. The Examination paper will contain at least 7 questions from each ‘Category I’ subject. The paper will also have 23 questions from the ‘Category II’ subjects as a whole. These twenty-three questions will include questions from at least 5 Category II subjects. Category I subjects will be tested in Part I of the question paper and Category II subjects will be tested in Part II of the question paper.
