Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd (MECL) had announced the recruitment of Executive Trainees through GATE 2016 in the disciplines of Geology, Geophysics, Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering.

Candidates applied on the basis of their GATE scores from January 18, 2016 till February 5, 2016.

Position: Executive Trainees in the following disciplines:
• Geology
• Geophysics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Petroleum Engineering

No of Vacancies: 29

Eligibility:
• One must have passed the qualifying exam with a minimum of 60% in aggregate.
• SC/ST and OBC (NL) candidates with less than 60% could also applied for any vacancies due to lack of required number of candidates under each category.
• Final year students were also eligible to apply provided able to submit proof of their pass and fulfil the eligibility criteria at the time of the interview if short listed
• Age Limit: not more than 28 years as on January 1, 2016 (relaxation as per norms).

Work Profile:
Selected candidates were under training/probation for one year and were absorbed in the “E-1” grade as per qualification after the probation period is over.

Emoluments:
Candidates were placed in the Pay Scale 16,400–40,500 with additional emoluments like DA, HRA etc

Service Bond:
A service bond for Rs 2,50,000 must be executed on a non judicial paper of Rs 500 to serve MECL for a period of 4 years from the joining date

• Submission of online GATE 2012 Application: September 1- October 8, 2015
• Start of Online Application: January 18, 2016
• Last date for applying online to MECL: February 5, 2016
