Could you please let me know more about IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM), so that I can check it?

As per your concern I will let you know about IIT Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM), so that you can check it.

Eligibility

Candidates must have done Bachelor’s degree (In science field) from a well-known) university.

Candidates who are graduate via distance studies, they can also apply for this examination.

Candidates who belong to General or OBC category they must have gone graduation with at least 55% of marks however candidates who belong to reserved category, they need to be passed via 50% of marks.

Both Indian candidates and Foreign candidates may apply for JAM 2017

Those candidates are appeared or are due to appear in the qualifying degree’s examination in 2017 are also eligible.

Application fee
If you want to apply for only one paper and you belong to General or OBC category then you need to give the payment of Rs. 1500/- and if you are female and belong to SC or ST or PWD (male) then you need to give the payment of Rs. 750/-

If you want to apply for both papers and belong to General or OBC category then you need to pay the payment of Rs. 2100/- and all the candidates from SC or ST or PWD and Female need to pay Rs. 1050/

JAM 2017 examination will be conducted for the seven test papers, namely-

Biological Sciences (BL)
Biotechnology (BT)
Chemistry (CY)
Geology (GG)
Mathematics (MA)
Mathematical Statistics (MS)
Physics (PH)

Exam pattern
The examination pattern of JAM gives you an idea about the type of questions, distribution of marks, penalty for wrong answers and many other important details.

Section Questions

Section A 30 MCQ (Multiple Choice Question)

Section B 10 MSQ (Multiple Select Question)

Section C 20 NAT (Numerical Answer Type)
