Eligibility criteria
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree in Science/Engineering.
• M.S/M.D degree in field of medicine with research works in Biotechnology and Life science.
• Applicants who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are eligible.
• Employed candidates are eligible to apply provided that their application is processed through their employer.

DBT Postdoctoral Fellowship Stipend
• Stipend provided ranges from Rs 22,000 to Rs 24000 p.m along with a contingency grant of Rs 50, 000 per year.
• Applicants yet to receive the Ph.D/M.S/M.D degree are entitled to a stipend of Rs 18,000 p.m.

Age Limit
Applicants should be:
• Below 40 years of age – For Men
• Below 45 years of age – For Women

Application Fee:
Application fee is not required

Key Dates
Award for fellowship commence from April or October of the following year. Interview will be held at IIT Bangalore in May.
