Hi buddy I am going to appear in MHT CET entrance exam for For M.pharm admission , so can you here tell me about this exam syllabus and pattern ??

Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State conducts common entrance test MAH-MPH-CET online for admission to first year of two year full time Post Graduate Course in Pharmacy (M.Pharm).

Eligibility:-
Students must passed B.Pharm. degree or appeared in final year / final semester of B.Pharm from any AICTE approved institution affiliated with University (approved by UGC),


Exam pattern

MAH MPH CET 2017 Pattern:-

Mode - Online

Type:- Objective Questions

There will be no negative marking system in MAH MPH CET.

There will be 125 questions.

The duration of test will be 180 minutes.



Syllabus for MAH MPH CET:
The questions will be based on the topics - natural products (Pharmacognosy & Photochemistry), Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Clinical Pharmacy.

Medicinal Chemistry
Antiviral, Antitubercular, Antimalarial, Anticancer, Antiamoebic drugs. Diagnostic agents, Hypnotics and Sedatives, Analgesics, NSAIDS, Neuroleptics, Antidepressants, Anxiolytics, Anticonvulsants, Antihistaminics, Local Anaesthetics, Cardio Vascular drugs - Antianginal agents Vasodilators, Adrenergic & Cholinergic drugs, Structure, nomenclature, classification, synthesis, SAR and metabolism of the following category of drugs, which are official in Indian Pharmacopoeia and British Pharmacopoeia, Introduction to drug design. Stereochemistry of drug molecules, Antiprotozoal drugs, Cardiotonic agents, Diuretics, Anti-hypertensive drugs, Hypoglycemic agents, Antilipedmic agents, Coagulants, Anticoagulants, Antiplatelet agents. Chemotherapeutic agents - Antibiotics, Antibacterials, Sulphadrugs.

Biochemistry
Methods to determine, kidney & liver function have to be studied by the students while preparing for the exam. Lipid profiles, General principles of immunology, Immunological, Metabolism of carbohydrate, lipids, proteins,Biochemical role of hormones, Vitamins, Enzymes, Nucleic acids, Bioenergetics.

Natural Products
Biotechnological principles and techniques for plant development, Tissue culture, Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry - Chemistry, tests, isolation, characterization and estimation of phytopharmaceuticals belonging to the group of Alkaloids, Glycosides, Terpenoids, Ster oids, Bioflavanoids, Standardization of raw materials and herbal products, WHO guidelines. Quantitative microscopy including modern techniques used for evaluation. Purines, Guggul lipids, Pharmacognosy of crude drugs that contain the above constituents.

Pharmaceutics
Pharmaceutical calculations, Development, manufacturing standards Q.C. limits, labeling, as per the pharmacopoeial requirements. Formulation and preparation of cosmetics - lipstick, shampoo, creams, nail preparations and dentifrices, Storage of different dosage forms and new drug delivery systems. Biopharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics and their importance in formulation.

Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence
The topics include Drugs and cosmetics Act and rules with respect to manufacture, sales and storage, Pharmacy Act and Pharmaceutical ethics.
Pharmacology
Immuno Pharmacology. Drugs acting on the blood & blood forming organs. Drugs acting on the renal system, General pharmacological principles including Toxicology. Drug interaction. Pharmacology of drugs acting on Central nervous system, Cardiovascular system, Autonomic nervous system, Gastro intestinal system and Respiratory system, Pharmacology of Autocoids, Hormones, Hormone antagonists, chemotherapeutic agents including anticancer drugs, Bioassays.

Microbiology

One also has to be thorough with the concepts of Serological and diagnostics tests and Principles and methods of microbiological assays of the Pharmacopoeia, Applications of microorganisms in Bio Conversions and in Pharmaceutical industry.
