The National Veterinary Institute is one of the important centers of DTU. Through this institute the DTU provides facility and study of research in infectious diseases in livestock and diagnose diseased animals.

DTU Vet conducts research in infectious diseases in livestock and diagnose diseased animals.

The institute advices public authorities and cooperate with them on the Danish veterinary contingency plan. It has reference laboratory in a number of areas.

The National Veterinary Institute DTU does research in infectious diseases. The main focus is on domestic animal diseases which have major consequences for the Danish agriculture.
