Hello sir, is there any one can provide me salary which is offered by SSC for CGL tax assistant? How much amount is provided by SSC for tax assistant?

The Staff Selection Commission announced Group B and C Category Posts with multiple job vacancies for SSC CGL. Tax Assistant is an assistant level post. You will be posted in one of the two levels; either in assessment of tax or in non-assessment.

As Tax Assistant, you will have the following career path

Sr Tax Assistant
Income Tax Inspector (ITI)
ITO (Group-B gazetted)
Assistant commissioner

Pay Band – Salary of Tax Assistant(TA) in CBEC is in the pay band 5,200-20,200 with grade pay of Rs. 2,400.

Tax Assistant in CBEC can have three types of postings namely
1. Excise
2. Service Tax
3. Customs

Pay Scale 5200-20,200
Grade Pay 2400
Initial Pay 5200
Total Pay (i) + (ii ) 7600

As a Tax Assistant in SSC you will be entitled to the following major allowances:

1. DA on Total Pay above (around 107 %)
2. Transport Allowance
3. House Rent Allowance(if not provided with quarters)
4. Petrol allowance
5. A MTNL/BSNL sim from the department
