Department of School Education, Government of Punjab has entrusted the responsibility of scheduling Punjab TET.

Punjab TET Eligibility:

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Candidates should have hold Senior Secondary/ Graduation or its equivalent or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Candidates must have done Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)./ 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)./ 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Selection Methodology:

Selection Methodology of appliers will be based on the basis of their performance in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

Candidates who are able to scores 60% or more in the PSTET exam will be considered as PSTET pass.

However, aspirants belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc will be given 5% concession.

Commencing date for PSTET Registration 2016
4th July 2016

Closing date for PSTET Registration
21st July 2016

Date of Filling Application Fee
5th July 2016 to 22nd July 2016

Corrections in PSTET Application Form
23rd July 2016 to 27th July 2016

Date of PSTET Admit Card cards
13th August 2016 and onwards

PSTET paper I and Paper II Exam Date
21st August 2016
