Well the Carnegie Mellon University is a private research university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The BMEC track addresses the application of solid or fluid mechanics to biological and medical systems. It provides quantitative understanding of the mechanical behavior of molecules, cells, tissues, organs, and whole organisms. In addition to the Biomedical Engineering core requirements, students must fulfill the following requirements: One (1) Required BMEC Elective Two (2) BMEC Electives (either Required or Additional) Required Electives (must take at least one of the following) 42-341 Introduction to Biomechanics – Fall 42-645/24-655 Cellular Biomechanics – Fall, every other yeart 42-646/06-646/24-657 Molecular Biomechanics – Spring, every other year 42-648 Cardiovascular Mechanics – Spring Additional Electives 33-441/03-439 Introduction to BioPhysics – Fall 42-444 Medical Devices – Fall, Spring 42-447 Rehabilitation Engineering – Fall 42-640/24-658 Computational Bio-modeling and Visualization – Spring 42-643/24-615/06-623 Microfluidics – Spring, intermittent 42-647/24-659 Continuum Biomechanics: Solid and Fluid Mechanics of Physiological Systems – Spring 42-X00 BME Research OR 39-500 CIT Honors Thesis OR 42-661 Surgery for Engineers – Spring OR 42-671 Precision Medicine for Biomedical Engineers – Fall Address: Carnegie Mellon University 5000 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, United States MAP
