Hi I would like to have the details of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited Biofuels Limited which is situated in the state of Bihar?

Government of Bihar (GoB) welcomed Request for Qualification (RFQ) for 15 shut sugar factories possessed by Bihar State Sugarcane Corporation Limited in December 2007. HPCL took an interest in RFQ for 4 sugar factories. HPCL rose as the most noteworthy bidder (H1) for two sugar factories i.e. at Sugauli, District East Champaran and Lauriya, District West Champaran.

For giving a push to the Ethanol Blending Program (EBP) declared by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) was searching for a retrogressive incorporation chance to lessen its reliance for ethanol.

In this way an entirely claimed backup organization of HPCL under the name 'HPCL Biofuels Limited' (HBL) was fused on sixteenth October, 2009 for taking care of the Integrated Sugar Ethanol Co-gen Plants at Sugauli and Lauriya.

As the then existing apparatus were in a run down condition and extremely obsolete, they were sold a scrap and a present day cutting edge plants were set up with

1. Smashing Capacity of 3500 TCPD.

2. Refinery plant of limit 60 KLPD.

3. Co-gen plant of 20 MW.

The two plants have been authorized in December, 2011.
