Hello sir I am here as I want to know the Eligibility Criteria required for applying for MCA course of Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Tezpur University so will you please tell me about this to me??

The Department of Computer Science of Tezpur University was started in July, 1994 under the school of Science and Technology.

It was started with the object of promoting specialized knowledge in the field of Computer Science and Computer Application


Master of Computer Application programme was started in July, 1994 with a view to produce high quality information system professionals.


Duration: Three years (Six semesters)

Intake: 45


Eligibility Criteria:

-A bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline

-at least 50% marks in aggregate or in the major subject of the qualifying examination
-having passed in Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.


Admission Procedure:

The selection for admission to the programme will be based on an All India level Open Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.

The questions will be multiple choice type.

The test is of two hours duration and consists of three components

-Logical reasoning

-Mathematics of 10+2 level OR Computer Science (B.Sc. or BCA)

-English Comprehension
