JEE Main is a National Level Entrance Test Conducted for Admission to Engineering, Architecture and other Technological Courses Eligibility Criteria Age limit The date of birth of candidate must be on or after October 1, 1992. For SC, ST, PwD candidates the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. Number of attempts – Number of attempts in JEE Main is 3. The candidates must be passed or appearing the 12th or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with PCM group with minimum 50%. The Candidates passed the 12th or its equivalent exam before 2014 will not be eligible for JEE Main 2016. All questions will carry equal scores. Every correct answer will reward you with a total of four marks and for every mistaken one mark will be deducted. There is however, no deduction from the total score if no response is certain for a question.
