The MICA Admission Test or MICAT is an MBA entrance exam for admissions to the180 seats of Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Communications (PGDM-C) at MICA Ahmedabad. Mode of MICAT 2016 exam From 2015, as per the official notification MICAT 2016 is completely online. The online test will assess candidates on topics like Thinking Abilities, Written Communication Abilities, General Awareness about contemporary social and business issues, including areas relevant to media, marketing, advertising & current affairs and Analytical & Verbal Abilities. Duration The duration of the MICAT exam is 125 minutes or 2 hours and 5 minutes. The duration to complete MICAT Paper I is 35 minutes and for Paper II is 90 minutes. It is important for the students to complete the exam within the time frame as no extra time would be provided. Sections MICAT exam is divided into 2 sections, and the second section is further divided into three parts. The Section I is subjective which consists of 4 descriptive questions on writing arguments, story writing and essay writing. Section II is divided into 3 parts. Part 1 is a Psychometric Test, Part 2 is Reasoning and Verbal Ability and Part 3 will be a General Knowledge section, where students will have questions related to latest happenings and news. Number of Questions Section I consists of 4 descriptive questions. The Paper II Section 1 is the Psychometric Test, which includes 30 statements. Reasoning and Verbal Ability has 35 questions and General Knowledge section has 25 questions. Hence, the total number of questions is 94. Marking Scheme MICA does not declare the total marks of the exam. There is no negative marking for the Section I and the Paper I of Section II.
