Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test UPCPMT Medical Entrance is now replaced by NEET exam. The colleges that were accept the UPCPMT scores now accept the NEET scores. National Eligibility Entrance Test NEET exam is conducted by the CBSE Board for admission in various medical courses (MBBS/BDS) offered by top medical colleges in the country. Important Dates NEET 2016 Phase 2 Examination dates- Notification release – 26th May 2016 Application Form starts – 26th May 2016 Last date through e-challan – 21st June 2016 Last date through other modes – 25th June 2016 One time correction – 27th June – 29th June 2016 Admit Card Release – 8th July 2016 Exam date – 24th July 2016 Result announced – 17th August 2016 Counselling starts – Fourth week of September 2016 NEET Eligibility Criteria Candidates must have passed the 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years and maximum age limit is 25 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. Relaxation of five years in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved categories. Indian Nationals and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible to apply. NEET Exam Pattern The question paper will contain total 180 objective type questions. The exam duration will be three hours. The question paper will come in Hindi and English language. Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer One mark will be deducted from the total score for each wrong answer. The question paper will be based on common syllabus as per prescribed by the Medical Council of India. Questions will be asked from physics, chemistry and biology subjects.
