CranesSci MEMS Lab, situated in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science, is the main MEMS research lab in India to be set-up with private financing. Cranes Software International Limited (CSIL), Bangalore, a product organization committed to make administrations and items for researchers and designers has financed the Lab's foundation. The order of the Lab is to do item determined research and make Intellectual Property Rights in the fields of Micro Electromechanical Systems with a mission guided by our topic of "science with inner voice".

The formation of this Lab, without anyone else, is a noteworthy occasion in Indian situation. In India, research endeavours have been to a great extent limited to the college labs or national labs and have scarcely ever seen the light of the day as an item. The privately owned businesses have to a great extent avoided research. Our lab goes for connecting this crevice with item determined exploration and innovation advancement.

Cranes Software International Limited and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has a solid duty for giving the collaboration and participation between the two areas for the development of MEMS innovation.

The biological system of the lab includes an impressively huge cross area of space aptitude accessible in different bureaus of the IISc and the business sector knowledge and programming abilities in the logical area accessible at CSIL.

Endeavours of exploration understudies and specialists working in this lab is coordinated towards long haul objectives of making an empowering domain where central considering, imaginative thoughts, and inventiveness stream openly yet never free seeing importance to society.
