The Goa Common Entrance Test GCET is an entrance for medical courses in Goa state. This entrance exam is provides facility get admission to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, B.E., B.Arch & B.Pharm., Allied Health Sciences (BPT, BOT, B.Opt., B.Sc.M.I.T., B.Sc.A.T.) B.Sc in Nursing Eligibility: Age: candidates for Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy Allied Health Sciences and Nursing must have competed the age of 17 years No age limit, minimum or maximum, is specified for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture Qualifying Exam & Minimum Marks: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Exam of the Goa Board or an Exam conducted by the CBSE New Delhi. An they have degree which is deemed to be equivalent to the HSSC exam of Goa Board, and must have obtained the minimum percentage of marks in the specific subjects, as prescribed for the admission to respective professional courses, as under Test Fee:- Rs.700/. Important dates: Start of receiving forms for GCET 28 Mar 2016 Last date for receiving applications and issue of admit cards 02 Apr 2016 Last date for receiving applications and issue of admit card (with additional late fees of Rs. 1000/-) 29 Apr 2016 Date of GCET 10 May & 11 May 2016 Date of result of GCET 16 May 2016 Exam Pattern: Goa common entrance test exam pattern includes details of exam duration, type of questions to be asked. GCET Exam Subject Date of Exam Time of Exam Physics May 10, 2016 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Chemistry May 10, 2016 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM Mathematics May 11, 2016 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Biology May 11, 2016 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM The test shall be divided into four papers. Each paper will have questions pertaining to that subject only. There will be four papers – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology. Each paper will be of two (2) hours duration. Each paper will have seventy five (75) questions. The marks to be awarded for answering correctly is one mark (1). If the candidate marks incorrect answer, no mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking in the GCET exam.
