Sir I want to know about the Michigan State University able program so can you please provide me some details about the programme?

Michigan State University (MSU), offered ABLE or Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience program which is a year-long enriched academic program Students who successfully complete the minimum requirements of the ABLE Program are offered regular admission to the entering College of Human Medicine class the following year :

As the nation's pioneer community-based medical school, our MD program emphasizes patient-centered care. Medical education at the College of Human Medicine is based on a set of principles defining the essence of our instruction and provide the foundation for our curriculum. Known to our students, faculty, and staff as S.C.R.I.P.T., these are service, care of patients, rationality, integration, professionalism, and transformation.

Application Process for ABLE (Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience) program

There is no direct application process for admission in the ABLE (Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience) program. Instead, selected disadvantaged applicants who show promise for medicine, yet may lack the science background required to perform optimally in medical school, are referred by the Committee on Admissions to the ABLE (Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience) program Selection Committee following their interview for regular admission.

The ABLE (Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience) program Selection Committee then makes the final student selections for the ABLE Program, typically in June.

Study material

The ABLE (Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience) program Academic Year Postbaccalaureate Experience builds on each student's background in the basic sciences and then strengthens that background through enrollment in selected upper-division (300-400 level) undergraduate science courses and medical school courses. Academic support and ABLE (Advanced Baccalaureate Learning Experience) program student activities combine to help promote academic success and refine successful learning strategies.

All questions about the ABLE Program curriculum should be directed to the ABLE Program Office:
