The Kashmir University has a Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has over the past thirty two years been the only institution in the entire state of Jammu and Kashmir.

This Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is offering graduate-level programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Now Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has been offering post-graduate programmes in five different specializations of Pharmaceutical Sciences namely Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacy Practice.
