The UPSC conducts Combined Medical Services Exam. Here is the marking scheme of the exam. The exam has following two papers:

Paper I: 250
Paper II: 250

Paper I is based on the following subjects:
Marks
General Ability 30
Paediatrics 20
General Medicine 70
Total 120

Paper II based on the following subjects:
Marks
Surgery 40
Gynaecology & Obstetrics 40
Preventive & Social Medicine 40
Total 120

After the written exam, the UPSC holds Personality Test of 100 marks.

I have knowledge about the Combined Medical Services Exam. So here I am providing you information as you want.

The Exam will be conducted for 500 Marks
The Examination will be held in two Parts i.e. Part-I and Part-II
Each part will be conducted for 250 Marks
The Duration of Each part is 2 hours


The Paper- 1 consists of three sections for 250 Marks
The Paper-2 consists of three sections for 250 Marks

There is penalty option for each wrong answer, it means 0.33 marks reduce from your gaining marks.
