About the course:
National University Students' Skill Development (NUSSD) Programme, is a flagship program on skill development undertaken by Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS) in collaboration with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to enable graduating youths from underprivileged background to acquire employment oriented skills while pursuing their degree program.

Students for India
Tucked away in rural India – in villages located in Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP, MP and Chattisgarh are stories of hope, courage and sheer determination in face of daunting circumstances.

Objective of NUSSD Courses
Impart career oriented employability skills along with degree and enable youth to gain Sustainable and Relevant job opportunities after graduation.

Awaken the full potential of Youth and prepare them to be responsible citizens and Agents of Social and Economic Transformation.

Inculcate a strong value of civic responsibility and concern towards the welfare of people.

Delivery Mechanism of NUSSD Courses
NUSSD Courses will be delivered through several, complementary cutting edge media. Theoretical part of the courses will be delivered in the Classroom by Volunteer Teachers, working professionals with expertise in the course subject.

Expected Outcomes
Students will get an opportunity to learn new vocational skills through this programme along with their current bachelor’s degree. After completing NUSSD courses, students will have a different worldview of work and life.
