Genetic Engineering is an advanced branch of Science which concerns a broad range of techniques applied in altering the genetic material in the DNA code in a living thing. Genetic Engineering is also referred as genetic modification. It is a process of manually adding new DNA to a living organism through artificial methods.

B.Tech. Genetic Engineering is a 4- year undergraduate course

Eligibility for B.Tech. in Genetic Engineering

For admission to B.Tech. Genetic Engineering course, the candidate is needed to have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognized Board of education with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.

Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Molecular Biology are also eligible to apply.

Admission Procedure

For admission to the course, candidates are required to qualify a relevant national/ State/ university level engineering entrance examination followed by rounds of counseling and personal interview.
