All India Institutes of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) conducts AIIMS PG National Level Entrance Exam for admission to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences.

AIIMS PG entrance exam is conducted twice in a year, one for January and other for July session. The admission brochure for AIIMS PG 2016 July has been released on February 24, 2016 for admission to around 131 MD/MS programmes in Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences and 5 MDS programmes.

February 24, 2016

Last date for Registration of Online application
March 23, 2016

Status of application and Rejected application with reason for rejection
April 4, 2016

Last date for submission of required documents for Regularization of Rejected Application
April 13, 2016

Last date receiving forwarded & approved applications forms with “No Objection” by the for Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India for Foreign Nationals to apply & appear in the AIIMS PG Entrance Examination July 2016 session
April 13, 2016

Finalization of Centre’s and allotment of Roll Nos. and Admit Card to be activated on website
April 23, 2016

AIIMS PG 2016 Exam Pattern is mentioned below:

For MD/MS:
Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)
Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions
Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

For MDS:

Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)
No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions
Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS
