Here is the detail Lester B. Knight M.Eng./MBA Scholarship

Lester B. Knight believed that leaders in the engineering profession need a strong foundation in business, and that leader in business advantage from a strong foundation in engineering.

The Lester B. Knight Scholarship is designed to aid and give confidence top students to earn M.Eng. and MBA degrees at Cornell.

The scholarship is the result of a liberal gift by Mr. Knight and the continuing support of his family.

Here is the Eligibility:

To be eligible for a Knight Scholarship, an applicant must be:

Entering into the Cornell Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree program

OR

A Cornell M.Eng. graduate entering into an MBA degree program at the Johnson School

Award:

Knight Scholarships can supply as much as $40,000. Knight Scholars receive a $10,000 tuition award per semester for up to two semesters while enrolled as graduate students in the M.Eng. Degree program and a $10,000 tuition honor per semester for up to two semesters while enrolled in an MBA degree program at Cornell.

Students entering the M.Eng. Degree program with Knight Scholarships can apply to the Johnson School up to five years after M.Eng. graduation and retain the MBA portion of their Knight scholarships.

International students are eligible to apply for this award.

Application deadline—February 1:

The application deadline is February 1, 11:59 p.m. Admitted candidates will receive a notification about their award together with, or soon after, their offer of admission.

Late candidates will not be considered. Awards are not made retroactively, i.e. after the student has paid the tuition fee for the semester.

Application process:

To be considered, students need to absolute an online application for admission, write a 500-word essay and submit a one-page resume.

The essay must describe experiences that motivated you to pursue engineering and business, student's interests and attainments, and his/her future career goals.

For M.Eng. candidates, the Knight Scholarship application is part of the M.Eng. online application for admission.

OR

MBA applicants who will be M.Eng. graduates by the time they enroll in the Johnson School, ought to fill out the MBA Online Application for Admission.

They must also complete the Knight Scholarship Application Form and submit it along with their essay and resume to engr_grad at cornell dot edu.

Cornell Engineering and the Johnson School each make their admission decisions separately, but the scholarship decision is made jointly by both colleges.
