SMU Employment Centre

Hello sir I want to know about the SMU employment centers upcoming fall events so please give me list of its events.

The Student Employment Office (SEO) partners with the Hegi Family Career Center, and faculty, the community and Southern Methodist University departments to create employment opportunities for its students.

Over 1,400 students work on campus at SMU throughout the course of each year, in positions all across campus such as: office clerks, library clerks, dining hall and coffee shop help, research assistants for faculty members, website designers, intramurals referees, graders, lifeguards and more.

Students work for a variety of reasons. Some students are working to pay towards tuition and rent, others are working for experience or spending money.

SMU student jobs are a great opportunity for you to learn time management, communication and customer service skills, teamwork, and more.

SMU Student Workers should never be clocked in at work during a registered class time, and all student positions are part-time positions.


How does it work?

Student jobs at SMU (Federal Work Study and non-work study) are Direct Hire - students must apply to each job they are interested in, and will be hired directly by a department.

Step 4: Go to work
One needs to schedule work hours and class hours carefully to make sure one is balancing all aspects of University life.
