It has been replaced by All India Pre Medical test (AIPMT) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Name of exam – All India Pre Medical / Dental Test Course offered – MBBS, BDS. Seats – around 3178 Exam conducting body – Central Board of Secondary Education Date of Exam – May 1, 2016. Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme The All India Pre Medical / Dental Test is a conventional pen and paper exam. Duration 180 minutes (3 hours) Type of questions Multiple choice questions with single answer correct. Number of questions 180 Number of questions in each subject. Physics 45 Chemistry 45 Botany 45 Zoology 45 Marking scheme of AIPMT For each correct answer +4 marks are given. For incorrect answer, -1 mark is deducted. Eligibility Criteria Age limit Applicant must be at least 17 years old The upper age limit is 25 years for general candidates and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC. Nationality – Indian nationals as well as OCI candidates may appear for the exam. Educational qualification required to appear in AIPMT. Applicant must have appeared (or will be appearing) class 10+2 or equivalent exam. Candidate must obtain at least 50% marks in PCB or 45% (General PH) or 40% (SC / ST / OBC).
