Here I am providing you the eligibility required for taking part in GATE exam:

GATE eligibility:

Qualification:

The candidate should have bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and those who are in the final year of these programmes.

The candidate should have master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent are able to participate.

Age limit:
There is no age limit for gate entrance and you can write gate many times there is no limit also.

I completed BE and want to do Post Graduate engineering for this applying for GATE exam. Will you tell what the GATE Eligibility Age also tell what the Academic Qualification required?

GATE is a national level Post Graduate engineering entrance examination, which held for offering admission to M.E./M.Tech and Ph.D. courses at IITs, NITs, IISc, GFTIs and other reputed Universities in India

Academic Qualification

Candidates must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject.

GATE Eligibility Age

There is no age limit for the GATE Exam.

GATE exam pattern:

Mode: The exam will be conducted in online (CBT) mode.

Papers: The exam will be conducted for 25 subjects (referred to as “papers”).

Type of Questions: The questions will of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
Duration of Exam: The exam will be of total 3 hours.

Maximum marks: The question paper will be 100 marks.

No. of Questions: The question paper will consist of 65 questions.

Marking Scheme:

For MCQs and NATs, various questions will be of 1 or 2 marks. In MCQs of 1 mark, 1/3 marks will be deducted for wrong responses. For MCQs of 2 mark, 2/3 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

There will be no negative marking for numerical type questions.
Note: There will be NO negative marking for a wrong answer in NAT questions.

GATE 2021 Exam Dates:

Online Application form opens 1st week of September 2020
Closing of submission of application form 4th week of September 2020
Last date for requesting change of examination city (an additional fee will be applicable) 3rd week of November 2020
Admit Card availability 1st week of January 2021
GATE 2021 Examination 1st week of February 2021
Announcement of Result 3rd week of March 2021
