Default Re: Ranthambore Tigers

Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest national parks in northern India, covering an area of 392 kmĀ². It is situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan. The National Park was established in 1980.

Tigers
In Ranthambore, almost every tiger has a special reputation and legend that precedes their lineages. Interestingly, every tiger-lover thronging to Ranthambore National Park has a happy tiger story to take home.
During the past few years, there has been a decline in the tiger population in Ranthambore due to poaching and other reasons.
Due to the recent increase in the number of tigers, the park is planning to transfer a few to other parks, such as Sariska and others.
Ranthambore is one of the best national parks in the country for spotting a tiger. The majestic predator can be spotted ambling or basking under the sun.
