The University of Calcutta is a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India established on 24 January 1857.

CRNN (Center for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) offers both a Ph. D. (Science) and a Ph. D. (Tech) degree in different disciplines of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

The enrolment procedure is carried out once a year.

Eligibility Criteria

You should have degree in Bachelor of Technology or Master of Science (without NET/SET/SLET/GATE) securing 55% marks

Candidates having degree in Master of Technology or Equivalent or Master of Science (with NET/SET/SLET/GATE) securing 55% marks are eligible to apply

Selection Procedure

Candidates having degree in Bachelor of Technology or Master of Science, the selection will be done through entrance test & interview

Candidates having degree in Master of Technology or equivalent or Master of Science (with NET/SET/SLET/GATE), the selection will be done through interview only

Date of Entrance Test: 12th February 2016 (12.00 Noon)

Publication of List of Successful Candidates: Display in the Notice Board

Date of Interview: 25th February 2016 (02 pm onwards)
