As you have asked about the curriculum details of the Design Entrepreneurs mini MBA program by Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), I am giving you some information about it Designers selected into the program will participate in the following curriculum: Program Kick-off Reception June 2, 2016 Weekend Intensives Saturdays & Sundays, June 4 – June 19, 2016 (mandatory) Participants will learn the day-to-day aspects of running a fashion business from FIT faculty members and industry veterans. Topics include: Weekend 1: Fashion Business Marketing Weekend 2: Fashion Business Operations Weekend 3: Fashion Business Financial Management Summer Development June 20 – August 15, 2016 Designers will be able to work with instructors to refine and finalize their business plans. There will also be a number of optional summer sessions in which participants can receive in-person guidance and participate in specialized workshops run by seasoned industry professionals. Presentations Skills Workshop TBD All participants will learn the art of pitching and hone their ability to captivate audiences and deliver a compelling message. Business Plan Presentation and Closing Reception October 6, 2016 Participants, mentors and industry names are in attendance at the closing reception. A select group of designers who have successfully completed the Design Entrepreneurs NYC program will have the opportunity to present their business plans to industry leaders and peers.
