Anna University (AU), once in the past known as Perarignar Anna University Of Technology (PAUT) was built up 0n fourth September 1978 in the city Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

It's adage is 'Advancement Through Knowledge'. Around 250 designing schools are associated to Anna University. This college has been licensed with five star status (most noteworthy positioning) by University Grants Commission of India (UGC).
