The M.B.A. program at College of Business of Kutztown University is designed to prepare one for positions of leadership in management. The purpose of the program is to provide: (1) breadth of understanding of the functional areas of business; (2) comprehension of the concepts, strategies, processes, and skills used in managerial decision-making; and (3) a sense of responsibility to society and a commitment to ethical conduct. Admission Requirement Apply Online An application fee of $35, payable to Kutztown University A statement of why you wish to pursue the MBA program A current professional resume An official copy of your transcript from every college or university you have attended Two completed Professional Reference forms Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) results or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), for international students only Course Curriculum The program consists of 36 semester hours in exclusively graduate-level courses. All students accepted into this program must complete all requirements within 6 calendar years. The following list of courses or their equivalents, as approved by the M.B.A. faculty, represent the core competencies in business administration which students are assumed to have as a foundation upon which to build in taking master’s-level courses: Principles of Financial Accounting Principles of Business Statistics Principles of Microeconomics Financial Management Principles of Marketing Statistics Required Graduate Courses ACC 520 Management Accounting Control Systems ECO 561 The Global Economy FIN 530 Financial Management MGM 540 Business and Society MGM 570 Operations Management Theory and Practice MGM 580 Organizational Theory and Behavior MGM 590 Business Policy and Decision-making MKT 550 Marketing Strategies and Planning Electives An additional 12 semester hours are required in elective courses. The offerings in 500-level elective courses cover a broad span of interests. Students also may pursue independent study as a means of completing elective course work.
