KELTRON’s history is a account of innovation in electronics. From being a pioneer in 1973, to the role of a trend-setter today, it has been the catalysis for the development of electronics industry in Kerala KELTRON ID Card Project Keltron launched the ID Card Project (IDCP) in 1991 seeing an opportunity in the decision by the Election Commission of India to provide Electoral Photo Identity Cards. Today, IDCP is identified as the State Level Agency Election Department, Government of Kerala since 1997 which includes, in addition to preparation of Electoral Photo Identity Cards, Providing Hardware support and Manpower support to the Election Department Printing of Electoral rolls of 140 LACs in the State for special, summary and continuous revision Installation and maintenance of Touch Screen Kiosks in District Head Quarters and Taluk Offices for online verification of electoral roll by the public as per the specification of Election Commission of India (ECI) Implementation of Electoral Registration Management System (ERMS) and Upgradation of Central Database with Electoral Roll Database using Open-source web architecture Implementation and maintenance of IT based activities of ECI. IDCP produces various types of Cards such as SMART Cards, RFID Cards, Bar Coded Cards, Employee Identity, Traders Identity, Beneficiary Identity, Driving License, Ration Cards as per customer requirement. PVC EPIC Keltron has introduced the PVC version of the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) which replaces the conventional laminated EPICs. The PVC EPIC displays the colour photograph of the holder in addition to possessing more security features such as micro text, National Emblem with Guilloche design in visible and invisible printing which can be viewed by ultra violet light.
