Default Re: IAS Strategy

Ok, here I am telling you the strategies and the tips for the preparation of Indian Administrative Service IAS exam.

IAS Strategies and preparation

One should start preparation around seven months prior to the exam.

Before you start you need to know that there are two stages of preparation:

Prepare yourself
Prepare the syllabus

This process includes following elements:

Making up your mind
Motivating yourself
Becoming passionate
Isolating yourself form rest of the world (you may enjoy Sundays).

Note Making is necessary due to following reasons:

Quick Revision.
Improve Writing Skills.

Try to make Notes in Question-Answer format, this will make your notes comprehensive + Lucid

Mains Preparation Strategy-

GS Based Marks= GS Prelims, 200 + GS Mains, 1000 + Essay, 250 (Essay means Mains GS and writing style) + Interview, 275 (It means Mains GS and communication style) = 1725

Optional Based Marks = 500

Aptitude based Marks = Prelims Aptitude, 200 = 200

While preparing for GS Mains, you will be also preparing for History, Geography, Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology etc.

It will help you in deciding your interest in a particular optional subject properly.
