UPSC Notification: Combined Section Officer/ Stenographer Exam Pattern:

Examination will consist of Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

Part 1
Include the following points:
The principles of the Constitution of India
Rules of procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha
The organization of the machinery of the Government of India, Designation and allocation of subjects between Ministries

Part 2 will be an intensive and detailed test in methods and procedure of work in the Government of India Secretariat and attached offices.
The candidates should have a broad knowledge of General Financial and Service Rules and Leave Rules.

Part 3 will test the candidates on their writing where they would be required to prepare notes and drafts on specific problems in the country.
