Railway Recruitment Board is an organisation of Government of India, which works for the appointment of new employees to work in Indian railways.
RRB’s have several boards working for it appoint new employees and they are situated in different parts of India
RRB Allahabad was formed in the year 1953-54.

The recruitment boards have been set up based on the policies evolved over a period of time to achieve the following objectives:

To rationalise the work load on existing RRBs.
To Expedite selection process
To bring the recruitment agencies nearer to the candidates in the far flung areas and interior sides
To meet regional aspirations in the matter of employment

RRB/ALD carries out recruitment of Group C staff for Allahabad, Lucknow and Moradabad divisions of Northern Railway, and for Diesel locomotive Works, Varanasi.
The RRB is headed by Chairman, assisted by Member Secretary and Assistant Secretary, with a small team of Group C & Group D staff to run the RRB Office.
