The MBA curriculum of University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business commences with a mandatory orientation, scheduled each year in September during the two weeks prior to the first day of fall term courses. Students complete a first-year core curriculum that introduces them to all the disciplines and analytical tools of business. The first-year curriculum forms the foundation for the four center-based tracks. Degree Programs The Oregon MBA offers three degree programs: Two-Year MBA The Oregon full-time MBA is open to a variety of undergraduate degrees. It includes core business fundamentals and curricular tracks through the program's four centers of excellence. One-Year/Accelerated MBA This can complete in nine to twelve months by launching immediately into the specialized coursework associated with one of the four curricular tracks offered by the Oregon MBA. Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to, an undergraduate business degree and two courses (with high marks) each in accounting and finance. Concurrent Degrees One can complete two degrees at the University of Oregon at a considerable savings of time and cost. The Oregon MBA offers concurrent enrollment with many other masters programs, such as a JD/MBA, MBA/Master of Architecture, and MBA/Master of Accounting, as well as others. Curricular Tracks and Specializations At the time of the application to the program, one choose one of four curricular tracks—sustainable business, sports business, entrepreneurship, or finance and securities analysis. Each track corresponds to one of the Lundquist College centers of excellence. To have a track-based specialization noted on their transcripts, students must complete required and recommended courses specific to the track beginning the second term of the first year through the completion of the studies. One-Year/Accelerated Program: One who meet the eligibility requirements for the one-year/accelerated Oregon MBA program may skip the first-year core courses and immediately start taking courses required and recommended for one of the four track specializations.
