Hello sir, I was attempting last year IAS exam and also wants to attempt in this year examination of IAS. Can any one tell me how many attempts will be allowed in IAS exam for OBC candidates?

As per your given details you are belonging to OBC category in IAS exam OBC can attempt IAS exam in 9 times. OBC candidates may apply for IAS application on 9 attempts. An individual from the OBC can make nine (9) attempts with three years upper age relaxation. An individual can make Six(6) attempts in total to crack the Civil Services (IAS). There is no restriction on the number of times an individual from ST/SC category can attempt for the Civil Services. Individuals from the ST/SC category enjoy a five year relaxation to the upper age limit. Age for IAS exam for OBC candidates: OBC Category candidates, the new age limit is 35 years Education required: Candidates have degree in any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. Other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament. Declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 Possess an equivalent qualification. If you appear for any of the papers of the Civil Services Preliminary Exam, your attempt is counted. If you filled up the UPSC application form but didn’t go to take the Preliminary Exam, your attempt will NOT BE COUNTED.
