National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra (or NIT Kurukshetra), is a public engineering institute located in Kurukshetra which was established in 1963.

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (BIT Mesra) is an Indian institute of higher education and a deemed University established in 1955 at Mesra, Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand, India.

Ranking

NIT Kurukshetra has been ranked as the 32rd best Engineering College of India in the Edu-Rand Rankings of 2015. The survey was done jointly by Edu, an Indian company and Rand Corporation, a non-profit American thinktank.

In 2015, BIT Mesra ranked 2nd in Dataquest's survey of private engineering colleges and 18th in separate surveys of Indian engineering colleges performed by Outlook India and India Today. In 2014 it was ranked 13th by The Week and 2nd in the limited participation CSR-GHRDC's Engineering Colleges Survey of 2013.
