XIMB MBA Admission

Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for admission in MBA in Global Management and Leadership (MBA-Global) offered by XIMB or Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar 2016?

The MBA (Global) Programme offered by XIMB or Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar comprises of two years study duration.

The first year consists of 3 terms of 4 months each, and the second year consists of 3 terms of 3 months each.

In the first year, the students would study:
1st term – At Antwerp Management School, Belgium
2nd term – At Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar
3rd term – At Fordham University, New York

The Second year would have the students studying their 4th, 5th and 6th terms at XIMB

Apart from this, there would be a three day orientation session at XIMB prior to the students leaving for their first term to Belgium, Europe.

Admission Procedure 2016

Eligibility:
The minimum requirement for admission to the Programme is a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
Candidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2016, can also apply.

Admission Test
Applicants are required to take any one of the Admission Tests:
a) XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 3 January, 2016, or
b) CAT to be conducted by IIMs on 29 November 2015, or
c) GMAT taken in 2014 or 2015 (minimum score for applying 550).

Registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB, if not opting for X-GMAT.

Selection Process
The admissions committee will evaluate the candidates based on their academic history, recommendations, XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMAT scores, Statement of Purpose (SoP), and personal interview.

The selected candidates must be ready with their Belgium visas for commencing the programme by the 3rd week of August 2016.

About X-GMAT
The on-line X-GMAT test will be of 120 minutes duration.
The multiple choice question (MCQ) type tests will have five sections namely Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Emotional Quotient and General Awareness.
There will be sectional time limits, with negative markings for wrong answers.
The pattern and syllabus will be similar to the other tests like CAT and XAT.
The test was conducted on 10th January 2016 and the candidates will have to make their own arrangements for travel and stay.

Estimated Expenses
The total tuition fee for the programme will be 32,900 Euros, which will have to be paid in two equal installments.
Other expenditures like airfare, visa charges, medical insurance, board and lodge costs and living expenses at three institutions will have to be paid as per actual, which amounts to 14,000 Euros approx.
