Latest RDSO Guidelines

Can you provide me the guidelines for e-Payment to Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO)? Also tell me about the Instruction for using ePayment Forms for depositing money payable to RDSO?

Central Standards Office (CSO) and the Railway Testing and Research Centre (RTRC) were integrated into a single unit named Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO) in 1957, under Ministry of Railways at Lucknow.

The status of RDSO has been changed from an ’Attached Office’ to ’Zonal Railway’ since 2003. RDSO is headed by a Director General who is assisted by Additional Director General, Sr. Executive Directors and Executive Directors, heading different directorates.

Instruction for using ePayment Forms for Depositing Money Payable to RDSO

“Vendors and other agencies who intend to deposit money with RDSO for various purposes as following –
a. Vendor Approval,
b. Purchase of Specifications, Drawings, etc.,
c. Consultancy, Inspection, testing, etc.

Vendors need to follow the following procedure for depositing money:-

1. Agency verifies the exact amount to be deposited from the concerned Directorate of RDSO for the specific work.

2. One need to download the relevant form attached below before approaching the bank.
Two forms have been attached – one for depositing money from any branch of SBI and another for depositing money from any other bank branch.

3. The forms are filled in properly, very clearly indicating in short, the purpose and the directorate concerned in the `Narration’ (not more than 35 alpha numeric column).

4. The agencies heck up with the bank whether any separate bank charges are required to be paid for RTGS/NEFT. This amount may be added separately to the payable amount

5. The agencies may approach the bank for remittance of the due amount to the given account of RDSO through RTGS/NEFT.

The Account No. of RDSO for the purpose is 31168914559 maintained with SBI, Main Branch (Govt. Business Branch), Lucknow with IFSC Code as “SBIN0007806”.

6. On successful RTGS/NEFT a unique Uniform Transaction Number (UTR No.) is generated branch the Bank for Non-SBI transactions.

In case of transfer from SBI to SBI, a Unique Journal Number is generated. These transaction numbers along with date should be mentioned by the agency in their application form being sent to the concerned Directorate of RDSO.

Scanned/Photocopy of the Customer Copy of the form deposited with the bank should also be enclosed along with application form.
