Hello sir I am Abdul and I am here as I want to get the details of the Seat Reservation in Jamia Millia Islamia for Muslims so will you please tell me about this??

Jamia Millia Islamia is a public central university located in Delhi. It was established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India during British rule in 1920.

It became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988.

As you want to know about the Seat Reservation for Muslims so that is given below:

-30% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Muslim applicants.

-10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Muslim Women applicants.

-10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for “Muslim Other Backward Classes” (OBCs) and “Muslim Scheduled Tribes”.

Other Seat Reservations in this College are:

Reservation for Person with Disabilities:

Under JMI Reservation Criteria 2016, 3% of the total number of seats in each Program in Jamia Millia Islamia shall be reserved for physically challenged persons under the following categories:

-Blindness/low vision

-Hearing impairment

-Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy


Reservation for Internal Jamia Students:

5% of the total number of seats in all Undergraduate Degree/Diploma/Certificate Programs shall be filled by internal students of Jamia under Reservation Criteria of JMI Admission 2016.


Reservation under special Provisions:

-Kashmiri Migrants:

Kashmiri migrants have to undergo the complete registration, application and admission process. Admission of such candidates will be considered over and above not exceeding one seat in programs offered by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Architecture.

-Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir:

Candidates from Jammu & Kashmir have to undergo the complete registration, application and admission process. Admission of such candidates will be considered over and above not exceeding one seat in programs offered by Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Architecture.

-Foreign Candidates:

Candidates of foreign origin may apply under General Category. Not more than10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for candidates under this category. Candidates can complete all the registration and admission process under this category only.
